The National Executive Council (NEC) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) on Thursday in Abuja, has said some conciliatory realignments were arrived at, and some changes in the party nomenclatures have emerged.

The chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Walid Jibrin, (North) resigned from his position and was replaced with Senator Adolf Wabara (East), who was a former President of Senate under PDP during Olusegun Obasanjo’s tenure as president.

Sokoto Governor, Rt. Honourable Aminu Tambuwal resigned as Chairman of the PDP Governors’ Forum (PDPGF) and took up a new position as DG of Atiku Abubakar Presidential Campaign Council.

Governor of Oyo State, Seyi Makinde has emerged the new Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party Governors’ Forum (PDPGF).

However, what many observers are saying is that, with the on-going strategy of changes, how many will be enough?

Meanwhile, the embattled party Chairman, Dr. Iyorchia Ayu survived after the NEC passed a vote of confidence on him.
