Four Bills on Tuesday 27th September scaled through second reading in the House of Representatives.

The Bills are as follows: Act to Amend the Evidence Act. Cap E14, laws of the Federation of Nigeria, 2004 to bring its provisions in line with Global Technological Advancements in Evidence taking which shall be applicable to all judicial proceedings in or before courts in Nigeria and for Related Matters HB 2019.

The Bill was sponsored by Hon. Ifeanyi Chudy Momah and Hon. Ugona Uzurgbo.

In the same vein, a Bill for an Act to provide for Ease of Doing Business to ensure Transparency, Efficiency and Productivity in Nigeria and other Related Matters HB 2015 and a Bill for an Act to provide for Establishment of the National Religious Harmony Commission: and for Related Matters HB 1103 sponsored by the Speaker, Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila and Hon .Abubakar Hasan Fulata also passed second reading.

Also, a Bill for an Act to prohibit late payment of Workers’ Wages, Pension and other Emoluments in Nigeria and proscribes penalties for violators and for Related Matters HB.7 sponsored by the Speaker, Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila.
