Frank Edoho, the longtime host of the popular reality game show “Who Wants To Be A Millionaire” (WWTBAM), has opened up about his first marriage and the allegations of domestic violence that nearly cost him his job.

Edoho was married to Katherine Obiang for seven years and they have three children together. However, the marriage collapsed irreparably, which he described as a “mismatch union” and stating further that he was young and inexperienced which made him develop cold feet when she got pregnant.

After their separation, rumors of domestic violence began circulating, which put Edoho’s career as the host of WWTBAM in danger. The allegations escalated to the point where the show’s sponsors considered replacing him as the host.

He recounted how he had to attend a meeting with the sponsors to clear his name, providing receipts and accounts of the events that led to his divorce.

Edoho denied the allegations of domestic violence and stated that he took responsibility for his actions, but also emphasized that his ex-wife was not entirely blameless.

In a sober disposition, he recalled how the experience affected him, leaving depressed and still unable to speak about the issue because of the strong emotions it evokes.

However, Edoho revealed that he has since moved on, putting the traumatic experience behind him, and has remarried. He tied the knot with his second wife, Sandra Onyenuchenuya, on April 2, 2014.
