Abdulmalik Tanko, who murdered a five-year-school girl in Kano, Hanifa Abubakar has been sentenced to death by hanging. Tanko’s accomplice, Hashim Isyaku was also sentenced to death.

The chilling story of a school teacher in Kano, Abdulmalik Tanko, who abducted one of his pupils, Hanifa Abubakar and demanded a ransom of N6 million, shocked the Nigerians.

He was eventually paid N3 million and upon realizing that the five year old girl had recognized him, he decided to eliminate the little girl with a rat poison.

While collecting ransom from the late girl’s family, he kept the girl with his own wife.

He eventually buried the girl in his school premises. 

His crime associates were his wife and a man, Hashim Isyaku. 

Tanko and Hashimi Isyaku were arrested by the police in Kano and proecuted.

Today, Tanko had been sentenced to death.
