Trending news have it that popular Nigerian Gospel singer, Sammie Okposo has died at the age of 51 on Friday.

Okposo, whose signature and popular chime, the “Welu-Welu” genre made headlines recently for infidelity allegation with a US-based lady, of which he later apologized to his wife, Ozioma Okposo, has not been visible on social media, lately.

After the adultery mess that was virally amplified on social media, the popular gospel musician, decided to take a back-stage from his spiritual ministration and Church duties until “full restoration”

Though, details are still sketchy, a source claimed that the popular musician cum producer slumped on Friday morning and died.

Okposo made headlines early in the year after he publicly apologized to his wife, Ozioma for cheating on her with another lady in the United States.
