In faraway United States of America, honour came knocking as Amanda Azubuike of Nigeria descent became the newest military General of the US Army.

Nigerian-born Azubuike, was decorated with her new rank of Brigadier-General of the United States Army on Saturday at the military base in Fort Knox, Kentucky.

Amanda is a thorough-bred professional with knack for communications and leadership with over 30 years of service. She holds a Masters of Arts (M.A) in Professional studies, Public Relations/Corporate Communications from Georgetown University and another M.A in National Security and Strategic Studies from the United States Army War College.

She has been Deputy Commanding General at United States Army Cadet Command, Fort Knox, Kentucky, USA
