Iconic Nigerian musician, Innocent Idibia, popularly known as 2face, has reacted to rumours of him having an extra-marital affair, even impregnating a banker as “false and malicious.”

A recent claim that the artiste had impregnated a certain banker went viral, and it happened soon after Idibia posted a public apology for being an embarrassment to his wife and family.

The apology shared via his Instagram page, Idibia read: “This is no stunt. I’m sorry for all the embarrassment I’ve caused my wife, my kids, my mother and all our families and my management team. I’m looking for no sympathy I’m not trying to make myself look good. This is no reverse psychology bullshit..

“I simply just don’t want to be the one that always apologizes. I’ve been a sh*ty father and a sh*ty husband and sh*ty baby daddy. I have no excuses. I just want to do right by my wife, and my kids and their moms and my mom and all families and my manager and friends.”

Reacting to the rumour of his alleged affair which quickly followed the apology, the musician slammed the rumour-mongers for speaking about things they had no idea about.

“Una too like ‘belle’ matter,” he wrote via his Instagram stories on Monday. “See person wey no even know who be their senator just dey insult wetin dem no even get any idea about. Una welldone.

“Father forgive them for their brains have been fried.”

The singer’s management has also debunked the claims, stating that 2Face’s apology was in no way connected to the rumour.

2Face’s manager, Efe Omorogbe, shared a release via his Instagram account on Saturday, where the rumour was tagged “false and malicious.”
