As part of efforts to chart a progressive agenda for the Upper Legislative Chambers, Senate Minority leader, Senator Philip Tanimu Aduda MFR who represents Federal Capital Territory, led some Senators elected under the platform of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), on a courtesy visit to the former military President, His Excellency General Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida.

Babangida, who is fondly called IBB by his followers and admirers, received the senatorial delegation in Hilltop Mansion in Minna, Niger State.

Discussions at the meeting centred on the unity of the country, and some critical issues regarding PDP, especially the strategic plan geared towards putting the Party in good stead to secure victory in the 2023 general elections.

Senator Aduda also led the distinguished Senators to pay traditional homage to the Emir of Minna, His Royal Highness, Alhaji (Dr.) Umar Farouq Bahago at his palace in Minna.

Senatorial delegation comprised of Senator Chukwuka Utazi, Senate Minority Whip; Senator Shuaibu Lau, Deputy Minority Leader; Senator Danjuma La’ah, Deputy Minority Whip and other distinguished leaders of the Party.

Aduda said at the meeting with IBB, that “the mission to rescue and rebuild Nigeria require wide range consultation with past leaders and all patriots’, noting that the delegation is grateful of the opportunity to glean from the robust experience of the for president.
