Pioneer DG Nigeria Governors Forum Hails Wike's Recent Courtesy visit to Ex SenatePresident, SarakiEarl Osaro Onaiwu

A Chieftain of Peoples Democratic (PDP) Pioneer and Pioneer Director-General of the Nigeria Governors Forum (NGF), Earl Osaro Onaiwu, has commended the immediate past Governor of Rivers State and the Minister of Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Chief Ezenwo Nyesom Wike, for finding time to pay a courtesy visit to a former President of the Senate, Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki.

In a statement released on Tuesday in Abuja, Onaiwu, who posited that the meeting between the two leaders is in order, advised members of the PDP to separate personal relationship from politics and unite for greater good of the party and the country.

The statement read in part; “Dr. Bukola Saraki, the former President of the Senate, is easy going and possesses an impeccable record of astute leadership which has earned him love and admiration from Nigerians within and outside the PDP.

“The handshake that was exhibited between himself and the Honorable Minister of FCT, Nyesom Wike, is an attestation that friendship and relationship should not be sacrificed on the altar of individual political interests. Besides, Nigeria is bigger than any individual, in brotherhood and love we must abide towards each other.

“I call on leaders and members of our great Party to take advantage of this platform to reconcile every grey areas so as to work together for the growth of the PDP and the ultimate benefit of Nigeria.

Recall that the Minister of FCT Chief Nyesom Wike, recently paid a surprise visit to the former President of the Senate, at his Abuja residence, which generated mixed reactions from Nigerians, especially members of the opposition party, PDP, who were divided in the build up to the last presidential election.
