Bishop David Oyedepo, the Founder of Living Faith Church Worldwide (Winners Chapel), has announced that the Federal Government of Nigeria has approved the construction of an airstrip at Faith Tabernacle, Canaanland, Ota, Ogun State.
Oyedepo, who marked his 70th birthday on September 27, made this revelation during a special edition of Tehillah Night held at the Covenant University Chapel, located within the Canaanland complex.

Enthused by the approval, the revered Bishop said, “I am sure you will be glad to know that the Federal Government has approved an airstrip for Canaanland”.
“I won’t need to fly a helicopter to the airport. I can leave from here to wherever I am going. Members with their planes will have where to land and park.”
With this approval, Oyedepo and church members who own private planes will be able to fly directly in and out of the church premises, bypassing the need to travel to the airport. This development is expected to greatly enhance transportation for worshippers and visitors, particularly during major church events that draw large crowds from across the globe.
Oyedepo expressed gratitude for the approval, emphasizing that Covenant University graduates have found success in various fields, including aviation, despite the school not offering specific aviation courses. He encouraged young worshippers to seek God’s purpose in their lives and pursue it with dedication.

“Won’t you be glad to know that there are some captains that fly me who are graduates of Covenant University? We don’t have an aviation department here, but they found their place in God and went after it.
“That’s what this university is all about, it’s not about boxing you up. It’s about allowing you to locate God’s plan and pursue it accordingly. Young people, don’t play away your life, you don’t have a spare,” Oyedepo said.
