Oladipo, who is a professor of computer science, made this declaration during a zoom discussion with some journalists. She highlighted that higher schools need to think outside the box to access more funding as the challenging times has restricted the ability of school founders or the state, to do it alone.

The university’s Vice Chancellor showcased the institution’s achievements over the past four years, including collaborations with local and international universities, where she was able to access over $178,000 in aids/grants. She stated that the goal is to secure over $5 million in grants in the next few years.

To ensure continuity, the university is focusing on securing grants, and partnering with private sector. This approach acknowledges that no single proprietor, including the government, can provide all the necessary resources.

In terms of cost reduction, she revealed that the institution has put in place some measures such as generating electricity through solar power and using smart infrastructures on campus.
