During Eid ul Mawlid, the Muslims will congregate with their families and friends to pray, listen to lectures and do acts of kindness to others. The acts of kindness can be acts of giving food to the less privileged or helping those in need. By coming together and doing these things, Muslims build strong bonds with each other and feel a sense of community and brotherhood.
The government urged Muslims faithful to remember the good teachings of Prophet Muhammad, expressed in peaceful co-existence, showing love and extending kindness to others. These teachings are important for building a harmonious society where everyone feels included and valued.
This public holiday highlights FG’s promotion of religious inclusivity, unity, tolerance and understanding among the citizens. Importantly, it is a special moment for Nigerians to appreciate the values of peace, love and kindness; the ideals taught and lived by Prophet Muhammad, as an example of building a brighter future for everyone in the country.
