Chris Okotie, Pastor of Household of God Church in Lagos. Delivered on September 20 via a video released to DDNewsOnline, Rev. Okotie’s 18-minute sermon refuted a South African Pastor Joshua Mhlakela, who claimed Jesus had revealed the Rapture date in a vision tied to a Jewish holiday and biblical references to trumpets. Okotie cautioned against trusting visions that contradict scripture, citing 2 Corinthians 11:14: “Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.” He also referenced Revelation 10:4, which notes God seals some details, including the Rapture’s timing. “The call to follow God is right, but fixing a date is unbiblical,” he said, urging readiness at all times per Matthew 24:44: “Be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh.”
