Davido Reacts to Renewed Paternity Claim: “Multiple DNA Tests Have Cleared Me”

Nigerian music star David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has firmly addressed a renewed paternity claim by a teenage girl, insisting that multiple DNA tests have already confirmed he is not her biological father.
In a series of posts on his Instagram Stories on Thursday, January 16, 2026, Davido responded to the resurfaced allegations, calling them “false and recycled” and expressing frustration over the persistent rumours.

“Enough is enough. Multiple DNA tests have been done, and they all show I am NOT the father. This has been settled legally and scientifically. Let this young lady and her family find peace and move on. I have never denied responsibility when it’s proven, but in this case, it’s not true,” Davido wrote.

The singer also shared screenshots of previous court documents and DNA results from 2022–2023 that allegedly cleared him of the claim, urging the public to disregard “old lies being repackaged for attention.”

The teenage girl, whose identity remains protected, had first made the claim in 2022, alleging Davido fathered her child when she was 17. The matter led to legal proceedings, including a court-ordered DNA test that reportedly returned negative.

Davido’s legal team had earlier described the initial allegation as “malicious and baseless,” and the case was dismissed after the test results.

The renewed claim surfaced again on social media this week, prompting Davido’s public rebuttal.

Fans and supporters have rallied behind the singer, with many condemning the repeated allegations as harassment, while others called for privacy and respect for all parties involved.

Davido, currently preparing for major 2026 performances and collaborations, urged the public to focus on positivity and his music.
