Ogun DSS Director Pays Courtesy Visit to Olota of Otta, Reaffirms Commitment to Stronger Security Collaboration

In a renewed push to bolster security architecture across Ogun State, the Ogun State Director of the Department of State Services (DSS), A.T. Digitemie, paid a courtesy visit to His Royal Majesty, Oba Professor Adeyemi Obalanlege (Lanlege Ekun II, Arole Iganmode, Olofin Apesin Olode), the Olota of the Ancient and Paramount Ottaland, Awori Kingdom, on Thursday, February 12, 2026.

During the visit, the State Director commended Kabiyesi for his unwavering commitment and significant contributions to enhancing security in the state. She encouraged the monarch not to relent in his efforts and assured him that the DSS, under her leadership, would continue to foster robust collaboration with all stakeholders especially traditional rulers to further strengthen peace and stability across Ogun State.

In his response, Oba Obalanlege expressed deep appreciation for the visit and lauded the professionalism of the Service, particularly the officers operating within Ado-Odo/Ota Local Government Area under the leadership of Adams Adeyemi. The monarch reaffirmed his continued support for all security agencies and reiterated his resolve to sustain advocacy for peace, lawfulness and crime reduction initiatives throughout the state.

Also present at the reception was the Executive Chairman of Ado-Odo/Ota Local Government, Hon. Adewale Wasiu Lawal, FCA, who thanked the Director for the visit and reaffirmed the local government’s firm commitment to maintaining peace and zero tolerance for criminal activities.
