The Osun State All Progressives Congress (APC) Governorship Campaign Council has called on the Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Olatunji Disu, to ensure the immediate arrest and prosecution of individuals declared wanted in connection with the alleged killings of APC members in the state.
In a statement issued on Friday by the Head of its Media and Publicity Committee, Engr. Oluremi Omowaiye, the council welcomed the IGP’s visit to Osun State and expressed confidence in his leadership and commitment to the rule of law.

The APC campaign council urged the police chief to conduct criminal investigations diligently and without interference, stressing the need to restore public confidence in law enforcement.
The council specifically appealed to the IGP to order a thorough investigation into the recent attempted assassination of the Director-General of the Osun APC Governorship Campaign Council, Hon. Oluwole Oke, and ensure that anyone found culpable is prosecuted.

It also requested a review of unresolved murder cases involving APC members and supporters dating back to 2022.
The statement listed several APC members allegedly killed in politically motivated attacks, including:
Tajudeen Rabiu (NURTW leader in Osogbo)
Waheed
Muraina Olayiwola
Olalekan Ososondi
Ismail Dudu
Adeboye Ademoroti
Saheed Oyegunju
Hon. Remi Abass (Chairman of Irewole Local Government)
Akeem (Otan Ayegbaju)
Kazeem Oyebamiji (aka “Mosquito”)

The council urged the immediate arrest of the following suspects who have been declared wanted:
1.Jide Joda – in connection with the murder of Hon. Remi Abass
2.Olalekan Oyeyemi (aka Emir Ajagungbade) – linked to multiple murders
3.Nurudeen Wakili (aka Nurudeen Alawonle) – linked to several killings
4.Solomon Adefioye (aka Solo Iwara) – accused of multiple killings
The APC campaign council also called for a thorough investigation into allegations against Senator Lere Oyewumi in connection with some of the cases.
“The Osun APC Governorship Campaign Council therefore urges the Inspector-General of Police to ensure the immediate arrest of the following suspects who have been declared wanted by the police,” the statement read.

The council reiterated its commitment to peace, democracy, and the rule of law, urging its members and supporters to remain peaceful and cooperate with security agencies.
This latest call comes as political tensions rise in Osun State ahead of the next governorship election.
The Nigeria Police Force is yet to issue an official response to the APC campaign council’s demands.
