The Institute of Channel Distribution and Direct Sales (ICDDS) will hold its official unveiling, investiture and induction ceremony tomorrow, Thursday, October 1, 2026, in Lagos.
The ceremony is scheduled for 10:00 a.m. at the Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI), Alausa, Ikeja, Lagos, according to the institute’s official event announcement.

The event will formally present the institute’s professional platform and feature the investiture of its pioneer leadership, the admission of pioneer Fellows into the College of Fellows, and the induction of foundation members.
The ceremony will be held under the theme, “Integrated Commerce and Channel Distribution: Catalysts for Nation Building,” highlighting the role of commerce, distribution and sales networks in supporting businesses, creating employment and contributing to national economic development.
According to ICDDS, the institute was established to elevate the practice of sales, distribution and go-to-market execution across Africa. It aims to promote professional excellence, recognised certification, ethical standards, leadership development, continuous learning, innovation and strategic partnerships within the commerce and distribution ecosystem.

Key focus areas of the institute include training and capacity building, professional certification, leadership development, ethics and standards, innovation and research, and community networking for practitioners and organisations.
President and Chairman of Council, Oladapo Siwoku Santos (FICDS), described the occasion as the beginning of a shared commitment to advancing excellence, professionalism, ethical leadership and sustainable growth in the industry.
Registrar-General Chijioke Ezikpe said the institute was created to bridge the gap in professional standards, certification and continuous development for practitioners whose work ensures products and services reach consumers efficiently and sustainably.
