Omisore Shut out of APC’s NWC Meeting as Deputy National Chairman Presides

The Deputy National Chairman, North of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Senator Abubakar Kyari, is currently presiding over an emergency National Working Committee Meeting (NWC).

It was gathered that Senator Iyiola Omisore, National Secretary of the APC has been shut out of the ongoing emergency NWC meeting of the ruling party.

APC Deputy National Publicity Secretary, Chidi Duru in an interview with NTA said the meetings are currently going on across all organs in view of the development affecting the party’s national leadership.

“There is no official statement on the purported resignation of Sen. Abdullahi Adamu and Iyiola Omisore as National Chairman and National Secretary of APC,” Duru said.

Adamu late Sunday was silent on his status within the APC amid reports of his resignation.

Adamu said that he will not comment on the matter until Tinubu returns from the AU’s meeting.

“I won’t talk about the issue because the President is away,” he told Daily Trust.

Adamu was not seen around the APC secretariat for the NWC meeting.
