Muazu Aliyu, a former Niger State Governor and Chairman Presidential Committee Council of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the state, has said that if the PDP presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, is elected in 2023 he would tackle insecurity and incessant strikes by the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU).
The ex-governor made this known at his inauguration as the chairman of the presidential campaign council at the state PDP secretariat in Minna.
He added that under the PDP government schools will “never” go on strike and insecurity will be tackled head-on.
He also added that if Atiku wins, it will reflect in the state elections in Niger and therefore urged members to work hard in campaigning for the presidential candidate at all levels.
Aliyu said, “Under the PDP government, schools can never be allowed to go on strike and even the issue of insecurity that is ravaging our nation would be tackled head-on,
“We are one, and most of us know that if Atiku wins the presidential elections then it will reflect in the state governorship elections.
“Please go up there and work as if you will never die. Let’s always remember that it is our efforts that will give us the result so that we can prove to Nigerlites that PDP is what can deliver the people.”
