Adedamola Moyosore Odedina’s journey from being a Mass Communication graduate to a successful fashion designer is truly inspiring. His story highlights the importance of following one’s passion and pursuing creative endeavours beyond the confines of one’s academic background.

After graduation in 2020, youthful Odedina proceeded to Kwara State for his compulsory National Youth Corps programme and by sleight of fate, his career path took a turn in a different direction, leading to a voyage of creative discovery.

For this urbane Babcock University, illisan, Ogun State molded Mass Communications graduate, his determination and love for casual wear played a crucial role in propelling him forward. His decision to undertake an internship at Nobel Afrik Training School and subsequently establish M Collections showcases his commitment to honing his craft.

The young man has turned his skills in the sewing of casual wears to a regenerative entrepreneurship and he is savoring it as he has taken it to a new level after working with many designers and attending exhibitions and fashion shows at different times outside Nigeria to different parts of the world where he has attended many exhibitions in Europe.

The fact that he has participated in various exhibitions and fashion shows, both in Nigeria and internationally, demonstrates his ambition and willingness to explore opportunities beyond borders. His recent showcase at Fashion Fushion, UK pop up show in Birmingham City Centre further solidifies his growing reputation as a designer.

Adedamola’s humility is evident in his acknowledgment of the learning process and patience required to develop his skills in clothing design. This mindset has undoubtedly contributed to his success, enabling him to navigate the challenges of venturing into a field different from his academic background.

His pride in his achievements and determination to elevate M Collections to greater heights in Nigeria and abroad reflects a visionary approach to his career. Adedamola’s story serves as a testament to the idea that passion, dedication, and a willingness to learn can lead to remarkable success in unexpected fields.

“I am proud to have come this far” the excited latest Nigerian designer proudly stated in an interview. “As a Mass Communications graduate, i just felt that I could do something more creative outside my field of study, I opted to take some lessons in cloth designing because of my love for casual wears and I thank God that I went through the leaning process patiently and today, the rest is history” he added.

As he continues to make strides in the fashion industry, Adedamola may indeed become a prominent figure to watch out for in the coming years, showcasing the limitless possibilities that can emerge when one pursues their true calling.

He expressed his determination to take his M Collections outfit to a very high level of recognition in Nigeria and abroad.
