Edo 2024 Guber: PDP Clears Onaiwu to Contest

Earl Osaro Onaiwu has successfully undergone the screening process and obtained clearance to contest in the gubernatorial primary election on the platform of the Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP) in Edo State.

Being the pioneer Director-General of the PDP Governor’s forum, he expressed satisfaction with the screening process and commended the members of the committee led by Chairman, His Excellency Barrister Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang and Felix Omemu as Secretary, for their thoroughness.

In addition, a confident Onaiwu urged other contestants to be law-abiding and ensure a peaceful and transparent process during the primary election, emphasizing the importance of a fair selection for the PDP’s flag bearer in the upcoming September 2024 governorship election.

According to DDNews, a total of 10 aspirants, including Onaiwu, have been cleared to participate in the PDP governorship primary election scheduled for February 22, 2024, in Benin City, the Edo State Capital.

At the end of the day, no matter the route taken, it will be interesting to see how the primary election unfolds and who emerges as the PDP’s candidate for the gubernatorial race.
