FCT Woman Leader Reflects on this Year's Easter Celebrations, Urge Women Traders to Involve God in their Business Transactions

The Woman Leader, National Association of Nigeria Traders (NANTs), Abuja the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Chief (Mrs) Rachael Adewumi has in her Easter message reflected on the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, even as she charged women traders to among others, involve God in their business transactions

The Woman Leader handed down the advice to the traders while delivering her Easter message on Thursday, in Abuja.

You may wish to recall that Mrs. Adewumi was last year, 2023, reelected as the NANTs Woman Leader and was inaugurated alongside others reelected in different positions with her in March, 2024.

While reiterating the importance of involving God in one’s business transactions and other dealings, the woman leader noted that with the fear of God and His involvement God in in one’s business transactions, the sky would be the limit of her members.

Furthermore, she urged them to have faith in God, adding that one with faith in God will never be disappointed.

While wishing them a blissful Easter celebrations, she reminded them that Easter is celebrated to observe the sacrifices of Jesus for mankind, adding that Easter is usually celebrated to promote peace, love and worship God, among other good gestures.

She enjoined them to remain law abiding and support the government, Amb Rachael Adewumi noted that remaining law abiding and being supportive of government’s policies and programmes would go a long way in improving their wellbeing, adding that no government would plan bad for its citizens.

She further urged the women traders to desist from hoarding food items and other goods, or sell at abnormal profit.

She pointed out that if they hoard food items or sell them at exorbitant prices in order to maximise profit, they are denying their customers and other Nigerians, the right to enjoy the Easter celebrations.

ON the other hand, the Woman Leader further advised the traders to neither spend above their incomes, nor force their husbands to spend above their limits

She however appealed to the government at all levels to always intervene and reduce high interest rates commercial banks charge for loans, saying that the women traders, if encouraged or empowered would contribute immensely to the growth of the economy.
