In inaugural speech after taking oath of office as President and Commander-in- chief of Federal Republic of Nigeria, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, set out a policy framework of thrust for his administration.
The key highlights are:
(1) Immediate removal of fuel subsidy.
(2) Respect for rule of law.
(3) Serious monetary reforms that will align with fiscal policy with the objective of pursuing a single exchange rate.
(4) Promotion of food security through integrated farm credits provisions, livestock management and agricultural value chain enhancement.
(5) Reactivation of agricultural commodity exchange program
(6) Priority will be given to women and children in governance and other govt programs and activities.
(7) Security of lives and properties.
(8) Removal of multiple taxation, repatriation of foreign profits by foreign investors and revamping of both local and foreign
manufacturing companies.
(9) Promotion of 6% GDP growth rate while inflation will be curtailed and brought down.
(10) Rural economic development and financial to be posted pursued and encouraged.
