Mazi Afam Osigwe, SAN, who is running for the office of the President of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) in the upcoming national elections on July 20, 2024, has garnered significant support for his candidature.
Chief Ememka J. P. Obegolu, SAN, the President of the Abuja Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ACCI), has expressed his endorsement for Osigwe.
Chief Obegolu highlighted Osigwe’s courage, conviction, and capacity to positively transform the Nigerian Bar. He emphasized that Osigwe’s election would restore the association’s values and reestablish its role in upholding the rule of law in Nigeria.
The ACCI Boss, in his statement of endorsement, expressed that Mazi Afam Josiah Osigwe is a man with a missionary zeal and capacity to turn the fortunes of the Nigerian Bar around positively to new heights of respectability and patronage, noting that he (Mazi) has the experience to do the job at this trajectory in our nation’s developmental march.
He said, “I believe Mazi Afam Osigwe when elected, will restore the values of our association and the Bar will once again take the center stage for standing for the rule of law and what is fair for Nigeria.”
“This as a nation. is not the time to look back, but to look forward with great hope and determination for the future of our Association because with Mazi Afam Osigwe our Noble Association will be in safe hands once again”, said Chief Obegolu.
