Nathaniel Bassey, a renowned Nigerian gospel artist and pastor, has been invited to minister at the Presidential Inaugural Prayer Breakfast for the 47th United States President-elect Donald John Trump, on January 20, 2025.

The event is a nonpolitical, faith-based gathering that focuses on prayer and worship as spiritual support to usher in the new US government and presidency.
The inspirational Akwa Ibom State born singer, made the announcement on his official Instagram handle, sharing a poster of the event and writing “Let’s raise a sound in America. See you on January 20, 2025.”
The Presidential Inaugural is a faith-based event held every four years before the swearing in of a new administration.

This incoming government’s edition will be hosted by Reverend Merrie Turner, at the Waldorf Astoria Presidential Ballroom. The event features different speakers, including Dr. Alveda King and Pastor Mario Bramnick, who will minister together with others, ahead of the swearing in of Trump and vice president elect JD Vance.
Born in August, 1981, Nathaniel Bassey has made remarkable achievements in the gospel industry by his talent and sheer melodic rendition. Some of his popular works includes evergreen gospel hits like “Imela”, “Onise Iyanu”, and “Olowogbogboro”.
As a pastor, Nathaniel Bassey attends The Redeemed Christian Church of God and pastors The Oasis Lagos, the youth church of the RCCG Kings Court in Victoria Island, Lagos. He is also the convener of the Hallelujah Challenge, an online Christian worship movement that started in 2017.

Bassey is recognized internationally, with the Mayor of Albany, New York, declaring October 6 as “Pastor Nathaniel Bassey Day” in 2024.
