The 2023 Alaghodaro Investment Summit in Edo State is set to be an exciting and memorable event, with a range of activities planned for its seventh edition.
In a statement by the Chairperson, Local Organising Committee and Executive Secretary, Alaghodaro Economic Summit Limited/Gte, Eire Ifueko Alufohai, said the event is scheduled to take place in Benin City, the capital of Edo State, between Wednesday, November 8, and Sunday, November 12, 2023.
The 2023 Alaghodaro Investment Summit is expected to be significant, not only for its content but also as the last edition celebrated under the leadership of the incumbent State Governor, Mr. Godwin Obaseki. The activities are aimed at fostering economic growth, celebrating the cultural heritage of Edo State, and creating shared opportunities for the future.
The summit’s theme for 2023 is “The Edo Story: Creating Shared Opportunities into the Future.”
The event is expected to attract a diverse group of attendees, including top investors, government officials, business leaders, and other key stakeholders.
According to Alufohai, the summit will kick off with the Edo Women Conference on Wednesday, November 8, 2023. This conference is envisaged to focus on issues related to women’s empowerment and development.
On Thursday, November 9, 2023, attendees will have the opportunity to explore the rich history and culture of Benin City through an Ancient City Tour, followed by a Cocktail event.
The main summit event is scheduled for Friday, November 10, 2023. It will feature discussions, presentations, and panels addressing economic and investment opportunities in Edo State. On the same day, there will be a Muslim Prayer session and an Award and Dinner Night to recognize and honor notable contributors to the state’s development.
The statement said that, on Saturday, November 11, 2023, the Governor’s Golf Tournament will take place, offering a sporting and social activity. The same day will also feature a Food and Fun Fair, providing attendees with the chance to enjoy local cuisine and entertainment.
In addition to the golf tournament and food fair, there will be a Youth Concert on Saturday, November 11, 2023, designed to engage and entertain young participants.
The summit will conclude on Sunday, November 12, 2023, with a Thanksgiving Service.
