The Alaghodaro Investment Summit in Edo State is set to showcase the progress made in the power, agriculture, and petrochemical sectors of the state.

The seventh edition of the summit is scheduled to take place between November 8 and 12, 2023.

This year’s summit provides an excellent platform for investors to explore investment opportunities, assess their impact on the local economy, and consider expanding their investments in the state and contribute to its economic growth and development.

The summit, with the theme “The Edo Story: Creating Shared Opportunities into the Future,” will highlight investments in various sectors, including agriculture, power, and petrochemicals. Notable investments in the state include two modular refineries, the Edo Oil Palm Programme (ESOPP), and the Ossiomo Power plant.

Eire Ifueko Alufohai, the Chairperson of the Local Organizing Committee and Executive Secretary of Alaghodaro Economic Summit Limited/Gte, mentioned that the event symbolizes Edo State’s vision to become a thriving economic and industrial hub. The summit is expected to attract prominent individuals from both the private and public sectors.

This year’s edition is significant as it will be the last summit celebrated under the leadership of Governor Godwin Obaseki. The event promises to be memorable and exciting, featuring various activities that will leave a lasting impact on the state’s future.

The schedule for the summit includes:

Edo Women Conference on Wednesday, November 8, 2023.

Ancient City Tour and Cocktail on Thursday, November 9, 2023.

The main Alaghodaro Summit, Muslim Prayers, Awards, and Dinner on Friday, November 10, 2023.

Governor’s Golf Tournament, Food Fair, and Youth Concert on Saturday, November 11, 2023.

The summit will conclude on Saturday, November 12, 2023, with a Thanksgiving Service.
