The Edo State Governor, Mr. Godwin Obaseki, has congratulated Senator Douye Diri, the incumbent Governor of Bayelsa State and the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), on his re-election and victory in the election.
Governor Obaseki praised Diri’s outstanding performance over the last four years, attributing the victory to his achievements in office. Obaseki also emphasized the significance of people’s power in democracy, acknowledging the expression of this power in the election results.
According to him, “I heartily congratulate my brother and friend, Senator Douye Diri on his reelection as the Governor of Bayelsa State.
“Your well-deserved victory is a testament to your excellent performance in office in the last four years. It is a win for democracy, the people of Bayelsa State, and our great party, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), and also validates that truly, power belongs to the people.”
