“Payment of the 13th-month salary after both December salary and wage award had been paid earlier is very commendable… This is the sixth time consecutively of the Governor Seyi Makinde administration.”
Information Commissioner Dotun Oyelade echoed the sentiment: “Oyo now ranks among the top three states with the most generous workers’ packages… despite ₦77 billion yearly wage spend.” He credited Makinde’s fiscal prudence for sustaining the initiative in a state with Southwest’s largest public workforce.
