Popular Nigerian TikTok star and streamer Habeeb Hamzat, widely known as Peller, has dropped out of Caleb University just days after resuming academic activities, citing the “torture” of long classroom hours and feeling out of place among “old” students.

In a viral video posted on his TikTok and Instagram pages on Tuesday, January 21, 2026, Peller shared his frustration with university life, saying: “How will I now sit inside class for like seven hours and be writing and looking? And play play not making anything? God forbid… When I entered the school I see that everybody is old, so me too I need to get old like 30 or 40 years before I go back…”

The 22-year-old content creator, famous for his comedic skits, live streams, and massive following, had announced his return to school in late 2025 after a previous break, sparking excitement among fans who praised his decision to balance fame with education.

However, Peller revealed in the emotional clip that the reality of campus life—long lectures, strict routines, and an age gap with classmates—proved overwhelming. He described the experience as “not making sense” for someone earning from content creation and live streams.

“School is good, but this one na suffer head. I go dey sit down 7 hours, no phone, no vibes, nothing. I’m too young for this stress,” he added, joking that he’d rather “get old first” before returning.

Peller’s dropout has divided fans: some support his choice to prioritise mental health and career, while others urged him to reconsider, saying education is key to long-term success.

Caleb University, a private institution in Imota, Lagos, has not issued an official statement on the matter.

Peller, who rose to fame in 2023–2024 with viral challenges and collaborations, continues to thrive on TikTok and other platforms, boasting millions of followers.
