The Labour Party has announced the composition of chairmen and members of its electoral subcommittees to oversee its forthcoming ward, local government, and state congresses across Nigeria, as preparations intensify for the party’s 2026 National Convention. In a statement issued Tuesday in Abuja by Ken Asogwa, Senior Special Adviser (Media) to the Interim National Chairman, the party said the subcommittees were carefully constituted to ensure a credible, transparent, and hitch-free congress process nationwide.
According to the timetable earlier released by the party, ward congresses will hold on April 23, followed by local government congresses on April 24, while state congresses are scheduled for April 25. The subcommittees, made up of experienced party stakeholders, have been mandated to supervise and coordinate the conduct of the exercises in their respective states.
