It was an engaging and inspiring moment as the leading aspirant for Ota State Constituency and Convener of the Igba Otun Movement, Hon. Hammed Abiodun Jinad (Otunba), addressed party faithful, urging them to remain committed, united, and resilient.
Speaking passionately to supporters, he emphasized that their struggle is not just about supporting Hon. Ladi Adebutu, but about securing a better future for themselves and the people of Ogun State. According to him, “Once we secure the governorship seat, no one can take away what belongs to us. The rest is for all of us.” He encouraged party members not to lose hope despite the current political tensions and challenges.

Otunba further explained that his ambition is not fueled by rivalry within the party, but by a sincere desire to serve the people and challenge the ruling APC administration. He criticized the current government, describing its leadership as one that has brought hardship, unemployment, poor infrastructure, and growing dissatisfaction among residents.
He also questioned the timing and relevance of some projects, particularly the recently commissioned airport, arguing that such a project should not be a priority for a state still battling poor road networks and inadequate basic infrastructure.
