The African Democratic Congress (ADC) and the Labour Party (LP) have confirmed receipt of the credentials, while sources indicate that the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) has also received its codes.

“We have received the access codes for the various offices from INEC. In fact, we received the INEC codes from them since Monday,” he said.
Similarly, Labour Party National Publicity Secretary, Ken Asogwa, stated that the party’s National Chairman, Senator Esther Nenadi Usman, has received the codes.
“I was just told that the national chairman, Senator Esther Nenadi Usman, has received the INEC codes,” Asogwa said.

Though INEC has issued codes to the APC, it remains unclear whether the party has begun distributing them to its candidates amid ongoing internal disputes from its primary elections. Several aggrieved APC aspirants have filed petitions before the party’s appeal committees.
In a related development, Justice Peter Lifu of the Federal High Court in Abuja on Monday ordered INEC to generate and release fresh access codes for the registration of the All Democratic Alliance (ADA) to the Akin Rickett-led leadership within 72 hours.

The judge ruled that INEC acted unlawfully by previously releasing the code to Umar Ardo, who was not recognised as the association’s pro tem secretary.
Justice Lifu declared the earlier action “illegal, wrongful, null and void” and directed the commission to reopen its registration portal for one week to allow the Rickett-led faction to upload required documents.

These developments signal the accelerating pace of preparations for the 2027 general elections, as parties gear up to submit candidate lists while new political associations continue their legal battles for official registration with INEC.
More parties are expected to receive their access codes in the coming days.
