What started as another punishment for Nomy ended with her leaving the Big Brother Naija house altogether.
Whitney “Nomy” Chukwu was disqualified from the Show Ya Sef house on Monday night after Big Brother revoked her privilege to participate in the competition, citing her repeated defiance of his instructions.
The final straw came after Nomy was made the week’s Benchwarmer following the Head of House challenge. She was expected to remain on a designated bench and wear a vest as part of the punishment.
Instead, she left the bench and abandoned the vest in the arena.

When Big Brother confronted her about it, Nomy was given an opportunity to explain her actions. She said she had no particular intention behind leaving the items and was not thinking about anything when she walked away.
But this was not the first time Nomy had been cautioned.
Just a week earlier, she had received a strike for repeatedly disregarding Big Brother’s instructions. At the time, the strike was described as her “last and final warning.”
That warning became significant during Monday night’s confrontation.

After reminding Nomy of her previous disciplinary action, Big Brother told her that participation in the house was a privilege and announced that the privilege was being revoked with immediate effect.
Nomy was given 30 minutes to pack her belongings and leave the house.Then came a moment that changed the atmosphere inside the house.
As Nomy began preparing to leave, Big Brother ordered the remaining housemates to move to the garden immediately, separating them from the unfolding exit.
For the other housemates, Nomy’s departure was more than just another person leaving the competition. It was a reminder that repeated clashes with Big Brother could eventually have consequences beyond strikes and warnings.
Nomy’s exit also marks the first disqualification of the season and makes her the ninth housemate to leave the competition seven having previously been evicted and one leaving voluntarily.

Her journey in the house, which had been marked by her outspoken personality and confidence, therefore ends not through a public vote but through a disciplinary decision.
And with Nomy gone, the remaining housemates are left to continue the competition under a clear message from Big Brother: in the Show Ya Sef house, defiance has its limits.
