Arteta guided Arsenal to domestic glory, becoming only the second manager in the Premier League era to win the title with the north London club after Arsene Wenger.
In addition to the league success, Arsenal eliminated Brighton, Crystal Palace and Chelsea to reach the Carabao Cup Final. In Europe, the team defeated Bayern Munich, Inter Milan and Atletico Madrid among others on their way to the Champions League Final in Budapest.
Arteta features on a Spanish-dominated shortlist for the Men’s Coach of the Year award. Also nominated are Paris Saint-Germain’s Luis Enrique, Aston Villa’s Unai Emery and Spain national team coach Luis de la Fuente. Bayern Munich’s Belgian manager Vincent Kompany completes the list.
