The Flamingos of Nigeria have emerged champions of the 2026 WAFU-B U-17 Girls Cup after completing a perfect campaign with a commanding 4-0 victory over Togo in Yamoussoukro, Côte d’Ivoire.
The Flamingos finished the competition unbeaten, recording five wins from five matches to underline their dominance throughout the tournament.

Captain Chidera Harmony was the star of the final, scoring twice from the penalty spot to give Nigeria a comfortable advantage before half-time.
Harmony showed great composure from 12 yards, calmly converting both penalties after the Togolese defence was punished for fouls inside the box. Her brace set the tone for what became a one-sided final.
Nigeria returned for the second half with more intent and added two more goals to seal an emphatic victory and lift the trophy in style.
The win caps a brilliant tournament for Bankole Olowookere’s side, who scored freely and conceded just once throughout the competition. The Flamingos defeated Benin Republic, Ghana and Ivory Coast en route to the final, showing attacking flair and defensive solidity.
