Agriculture: Edo Announces Closing of 2022/2023 Produce Season

The Edo State Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security has announced the closing of the 2022/2023 produce season.

In a statement, the Commissioner for Agriculture and Food Security, Hon. Stephen Idehenre, said the closing date for the current produce season is Thursday, August 31, 2023, at midnight.

According to him, Friday, October 6th, 2023 is hereby declared as the opening date for the 2023/24 production season.

He said: “Prospective Produce buyers, Licensed Buying Agent (LBA), Exporters, and processors are hereby advised to come to the Department of Produce Services, Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security, Headquarters, Ezoti Street, Benin City, Edo State, for fresh registration and guidelines.

Idehenre noted that “All permissions granted and buyers registration previously used are hereby revoked with immediate effect.”
