The Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Pastor Umo Bassey Eno, has announced a strategic investment partnership with Lekoil Nigeria Limited to foster the state’s development and boost employment opportunities.

The announcement was made during a courtesy visit by the company’s management, led by Lekan Akinyanmi, to the Government House in Uyo on January 21, 2025.
Governor Eno assured the company of the state’s support for its investment initiatives, expressing optimism about the potential impact on youth employment and the overall development of Akwa Ibom.

Chief Press Secretary to the governor, Ekerette Udoh, shared that the state is also interested in collaborating with Cambridge Harvest, a subsidiary of Cambridge Growth Partners, focusing on sustainable agriculture aligned with the ARISE Agenda. This agenda prioritizes agricultural development as a cornerstone of the state’s growth.

Highlighting the state’s commitment to workforce development, Governor Eno introduced the Akwa Ibom employment portal to facilitate the recruitment of skilled personnel for Lekoil’s operations.

Lekan Akinyanmi, representing Lekoil, shared the company’s enthusiasm about investing in Akwa Ibom, emphasizing their comprehensive master plan for oil and gas exploration and production.

Lekoil is part of Cambridge Growth Partners, a diverse portfolio including subsidiaries like Cambridge LNG, OakGold, Cambridge Energy, and Blink Studios.
