The first leg in Madrid ended in a 1-1 draw, with Viktor Gyokeres opening the scoring for Arsenal before Julian Alvarez equalised from the penalty spot.

Mikel Arteta will be boosted by the return of captain Martin Odegaard and forward Kai Havertz, both of whom are now available for selection after missing the first leg.
“Yes, they are available, they are in the squad, both of them. We need options, we need the capacity to play different games tomorrow, whether it’s from the start or after. So it’s really, really good news for us to have them both back,” Arteta said.

He also confirmed that Bukayo Saka’s substitution at half-time during Arsenal’s 3-0 Premier League win over Fulham on Saturday was merely precautionary.
However, Arsenal will still be without defenders Jurrien Timber and midfielder Mikel Merino due to injury.
For Atletico Madrid, manager Diego Simeone remains uncertain over the fitness of Julian Alvarez and Alexander Sorloth, both of whom are doubtful for the trip to London.

“They have all made progress. We hope they can all train later on. Tomorrow morning we will decide,” Simeone said.
The last time Atletico visited the Emirates Stadium was in last year’s Champions League league phase, where they suffered a convincing 4-0 defeat.
On European nights, the Emirates Stadium is officially referred to as the “Arsenal Stadium” due to UEFA sponsorship regulations — a naming convention also applied to venues like the Allianz Arena and Etihad Stadium.
