ASTPA FCT Chapter Re-elects President General

The Anambra State Towns People Association (ASTPA), Abuja the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) chapter, has reelected Chief Arinze Anadu as their President General.

During his acceptance speech at the Association’s inauguration of its newly inducted Board of Trustees (BoT) members and its newly elected executive members, Chief Arinze Anadu, unveiled his agenda for ASTPA, and disclosed that he intends to embark on empowerment for unemployed youths of Ndi Anambra.

He urged interested youths of Anambra state extraction to come up with their credentials, proof of identification for their communities’ names, and chose the areas they have interest to be trained, adding that the Association will shoulder the responsibilities of empowering them.

According to him, ASTPA, under his watch intends to partner government agencies, companies and captains of industries to achieve the noble objectives, even as he spoke at length on the need for the well – to -do people among Ndi Anambra to assist the Association to achieve the project.

While saying that there is no winner or looser at the last election where he was reelected, Anadu said when he came on board, he came with the agenda of transparency, responsiveness, members welfares, reconciliation and conducive meeting venue.

Others were time management, youths and members skill acquisition project, relationship with the government and constitution review.

He revealed that ASTPA under his watch acquired a piece land, in Nando in Anambra state, for ASTPA Model Estate.

Chief Anadu added that he has been looking forward to Anambra Day, a veritable platform to promote unity, peace and rich culture of the people of Anambra state.

He however averred that one of the themes of this year’s Anambra Day celebration, Aku Ruo Ulo, which literally means, Invest Home ward, has started after he motivated Umu Anambra within and outside Nigeria to invest homeward.

He however advised the newly inducted BoT members and the old ones to collaborate, toward giving the members of the executive and ordinary members fatherly advice for the Association to move forward.

Welcoming the newly inducted BoT members, the Chairman of the BoT, Chief James Agubalu assured them of smooth cooperation, as well as appealing to them to join them in moving the Association forward.
