A statement signed by the Public Communications Advisor of JAMB, Dr Fabian Benjamin, in Abuja on Wednesday, said this decision follows the suspension of these programmes by the Council of Legal Education (CLE) due to violations of regulatory procedures.

The affected institutions are:

Kwara State University, Malete, Ilorin, Kwara State,
Bingham University, Karu, Nasarawa State,
Redeemers University, Ede, Osun State,
Western Delta University, Oghara, Delta State,
Taraba State University, Jalingo, Taraba State,
Arthur Jarvis University, Akpabuyo, Cross River State,
Alex Ekwueme Federal University, Ndufu-Alike, Ebonyi State, and
Nigerian Police Academy, Wudil, Kano State.

Notably, the suspension for the Nigerian Police Academy will span two academic sessions, covering both 2025/2026 and 2026/2027.

However, the Kwara State University (KWASU) has clarified that the one-year ban on its law programme admissions will not affect current law students. The university emphasized that it holds all regulatory institutions in high regard and will comply with the CLE’s sanctions by not offering admissions into its law programmes for the upcoming session.

Prospective law students are advised to consider alternative institutions or programmes for the 2025/2026 academic session due to these suspensions.
