Mrs. Folashade Tinubu-Ojo, the daughter of Nigerian President Bola Tinubu and the Iyaloja-General of Nigeria, has been appointed as the Ambassador for the National Commission for Almajiri and Out-of-School Children’s Education (NCAOOSCE).

The appointment was announced during a visit by Dr. Muhammad Sani Idris, the Executive Secretary of the commission, to Tinubu-Ojo’s residence in Lagos.

A statement from the commission’s spokesperson, Nura Muhammad, emphasized that Tinubu-Ojo’s extensive work in supporting disadvantaged communities, especially the Almajiri and out-of-school children, influenced the appointment.

Dr. Idris commended her efforts to enhance trade and commerce, specifically by providing market women with better access to resources and opportunities.

In her response, Tinubu-Ojo expressed her appreciation for the honor, highlighting her commitment to leveraging her role to help alleviate the challenges faced by Nigeria’s most vulnerable children.

The ambassadorial position aims to capitalize on her influence in commerce to bolster educational support for underserved communities across Nigeria.
