Chidimma Adetshina’s journey to the Miss Universe stage was nothing short of remarkable. After withdrawing from the Miss South Africa contest due to the xenophobic backlash, Chidimma got an invitation from Mr. Guy Murray-Bruce, Miss Universe Nigeria’s National Director, to represent Taraba State in the Miss Universe Nigeria 2024 competition, which she went on to win. This crucial moment marked the beginning of her historic journey forward.
On November 16th, Chidimma made history by becoming the first runner-up at the 73rd Miss Universe pageant in Mexico, earning the title of Miss Universe Africa and Oceania.
