‎The refinery has invested over N720 billion on this project which aims to save Nigerians over N1.7 trillion every year in petroleum products distribution expenses. The acquisition of the CNG trucks will impact transportation costs and expectedly. make fuel prices to dip, slowing the rate of inflation in the economy.

‎The intrinsic benefit of this measure is that, it will help many small businesses and industries reduce their energy costs under a stable fuel supply approach and lower price regime in the country.

‎According to information made available to DDNEWS, more trucks are expected to arrive soon, bringing the total up to 4,000 CNG powered vehicles, which will help the refinery meet Nigeria’s daily fuel needs of 65 million liters as represented by official consumption index.
