Veteran broadcaster and Arise TV anchor Rufai Oseni made headlines on Friday, March 6, 2026, after sharply telling Israel’s Ambassador to Nigeria, Michael Freeman, “Do not interrupt me, Ambassador. Let me finish” during a live studio discussion on the escalating Israel-Iran conflict.

In a viral video clip from the morning programme, Oseni was laying out historical and contemporary points about Israel’s actions in the region when the ambassador attempted to interject. Oseni immediately shut down the interruption with a firm and composed rebuke that has since dominated social media conversations.

Oseni listed what he described as Israel’s “alleged crimes” and referenced historical events, including the King David Hotel bombing of 1946.

He stated: “I don’t expect you to come here to accept that Israel has nuclear weapons, and we’re giving you the facts. But it’s for you to deflect. Also, you were talking about Israel being a saint in all of this. I mean, we can go back historically, and I can tell you about the King David Hotel bombings…”

Rufai Oseni is known for his no-holds-barred interviewing style and has frequently clashed with high-profile guests on air. The exchange occurred against the backdrop of the ongoing U.S.-Israel-Iran military escalation, including recent missile strikes, embassy attacks, and naval incidents that have dominated global headlines.

Neither Arise TV nor the Israeli Embassy in Abuja has issued an official statement on the incident as of press time.
