The Edo State Governor, His Excellency, Senator Okpebholo, has presented a proposed N605.1 billion appropriation bills for 2025 to the State House of Assembly on Tuesday.

This comprehensive budget, aptly labelled the “Budget of Renewed Hope for a Rising Edo,” reflects a 25% increase from the 2024 budget.

The budget aligns with Governor Okpebholo’s five-point agenda, focusing on the specifics.

The touch-points of the Governor’s proposal for the 2025 fiscal year includes;
Recurrent Expenditure: N223 billion 37%,
Capital Projects: N381 billion 63%,
Road Infrastructure: N162 billion,
Education: N48 billion, including N500 million monthly subventions to Ambrose Ali University,
Healthcare: N63.9 billion, with N1.8 billion dedicated to Health Insurance, while Food Security takes N4.5 billion.
