Jamiu Yakubu Ajayi, a distinguished engineer, philanthropist, and former chairman of Atan-Iju-Ilogbo LCDA, has officially announced his aspiration to contest for the Ogun State House of Assembly seat representing Ado-Odo/Ota Constituency 1 under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the 2027 general elections.

Speaking to a gathering of party faithful, community stakeholders, and supporters in Ilogbo, Hon. Ajayi emphasized his commitment to grassroots development and equitable representation, particularly for rural wards including Ilogbo, Atan, Ijoko, and Iju.

“My aspiration is to serve the people of Ado-Odo/Ota Constituency 1, especially the often-overlooked rural wards. It is time our communities had a louder voice in the House of Assembly. I am committed to ensuring our needs are prioritized and our people are empowered,” Ajayi declared.

A native of Ilogbo, Hon. Jamiu Ajayi is widely respected for his effective leadership and developmental strides during his tenure as chairman of the Atan-Iju-Ilogbo LCDA. Under his stewardship, the LCDA witnessed remarkable progress in infrastructure, education, healthcare, and youth empowerment.
