Gov. Obaseki Approves Promotion of Eligible Workers for July 2023, January 2024

The Edo State Governor, Mr. Godwin Obaseki, has approved the promotion of eligible civil and public servants in the state for the periods of 1st July 2023 and 1st January 2024. The approval is aimed at recognizing and rewarding the efforts of deserving workers within the specified time frames.

The circular, signed by Mrs. Bamaiyi Osedebamen Rebecca on behalf of the Head of Service, indicated that the promotion exercise is to be carried out promptly. All Ministries, Parastatals, and Government Agencies are directed to ensure that the process is concluded without delay.

It reads: “I am directed to refer to the above subject and to inform you that the Governor of Edo State, His Excellency, Godwin Nogheghase Obaseki has graciously approved the promotion of officers eligible for promotion for 1st July 2023 and 1st January 2024.

“In light of the above, all Ministries, Parastatals and Government Agencies are to ensure that the exercise is concluded without delay.”

The circular adds, “Accounting Officers are requested to ensure strict compliance and also ensure that all Agencies and Parastatals under them comply accordingly, please.”

This decision reflects Obaseki government’s commitment to employee welfare and the acknowledgment of the contributions made by civil and public servants to the development of the state.
