The I.G. Aguowo Health And Academic Foundation (IGAHAF) has officially opened its portal for the 2024 scholarship program applications for secondary school students. Interested applicants can access and submit their applications from Monday, June 3 to Friday, June 28, 2024.

Mrs. Gloria Abanihe, the Executive Director of IGAHAF, stated that the scholarship includes both cash-based and material equivalents to enable beneficiaries to maximize the offer. The scholarship aims to help recipients pursue their academic dreams through a transparent and rigorous selection process.

Founded on the values of passion, integrity, and compassion, IGAHAF is dedicated to supporting the less privileged. The foundation, officially inaugurated on January 1, 2020, by Most Rev. Paulinus Chukwuemeka Ezeokafor, the Catholic Bishop of Awka Diocese, Anambra State, has remained committed to making a positive impact in communities.

The scholarship program is divided into two main categories: secondary schools and tertiary institutions. Secondary school scholarships cover Mission Schools, Government-Owned Schools, Federal Government Colleges, Federal Technical Colleges, Seminary Schools, and Private Schools with comparable fees. Tertiary institution scholarships include Federal Universities, State Universities, Federal Polytechnics, State Polytechnics, and Colleges of Education, but do not extend to Private University students.

Detailed terms and conditions for mandatory compliance are available on IGAHAF’s website, where applicants can find all necessary references.

Chief Ignatius Onyeka Aguowo, the Founder and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of IGAHAF and the Group Chairman/President of VOLIC Group of Companies, underscores his commitment to aiding the less privileged, as reflected in his corporate slogan, “We believe in a better world.”
