Simisola Adekunle Gold, simply called Simi, a Nigerian singer, has expressed dissatisfaction over N300 billion used by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, to conduct the 2023 elections.
Simi made the statement on Monday via her official Twitter handle: @SympLySimi
According to the singer, the amount spent should have been used to fix schools and hospitals while INEC selects the people it wanted.
The Tweet read: “N300 billion budget for this joke of an election. @inecnigeria you might have as well given them back the money to fix some hospitals and schools and just used a finger to point at the people you wanted to select.”
